Fisker Alaska: An Electric Pickup Truck for the Modern Adventurer

Fisker is taking a different approach with its second concept model, a compact electric pickup truck. Unlike the Ronin convertible, which will be a limited-edition luxury vehicle, the pickup truck is expected to be more affordable, with a starting price of around $45,000.

While many automakers are focusing on large pickup trucks, Fisker is taking a different approach with its compact electric pickup truck, the Fisker Alaska. At just 5.3 meters long, the Alaska is smaller than some other popular pickup trucks, but it still offers a good amount of cargo space thanks to a special mechanism that allows for the electric opening of the partition between the bed and the passenger compartment. With the rear seat folded down, the Alaska can accommodate objects up to 2.28 meters long. With the tailgate open, it can accommodate objects up to 2.80 meters long. The Alaska also features a useful front trunk.

Fisker will offer the Alaska with two battery options: 75kWh for base models, providing a range of 370 kilometers, or 113kWh for premium models, providing a range of 547 kilometers. Fisker has not yet announced the power output for the Alaska, but it has said that base models will accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.2 seconds, while premium models will do the same in 3.9 seconds.
