Rimac celebrates a new Nürburgring world record with the launch of the Rimac Nevera Time Attack

The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Rimac Automobili continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle performance. The Rimac Nevera, a pinnacle of their engineering prowess, has not only shattered records but also introduced the world to the thrilling Nevera Time Attack edition.

Recently, the Rimac Nevera achieved a remarkable feat, setting a new world record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. This all-electric hypercar completed the legendary circuit with breathtaking speed and precision, solidifying its position as a performance powerhouse. On its premiere at the renowned and difficult Nürburgring track, the Rimac Nevera surpassed the previous EV production lap record by 20 seconds. The Nevera recorded a time of 7:00:928 on the earlier, shorter 20.6 km (12.8 mile) layout of the course.

To commemorate this achievement and celebrate a year of record-breaking successes, Rimac unveiled the Nevera Time Attack edition. Limited to just 12 units, all of which have already been sold, this edition showcases the brand’s dedication to pushing boundaries and crafting exclusivity.

The Nevera Time Attack edition is a technological marvel. With a four-motor electric powertrain delivering an astonishing 1914 horsepower and 2360 lb-ft of torque, it catapults from 0 to 60 mph in mere 1.85 seconds, leaving most supercars in its electric dust. The advanced electric all-wheel drive and torque vectoring system ensure unparalleled traction and handling, while the carbon-ceramic brakes provide precise stopping power.

The Rimac Nevera Time Attack edition was produced in a limited quantity of 12 units, all of which have been sold. Californian Jeff Miller, the first customer, was given his Nevera Time Attack at the Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, where it was unveiled.

The Rimac Automobili Color and Trim team created the exclusive paintwork for the Rimac Nevera Time Attack Edition in-house, and it was hand-applied to produce a flawless finish. Both Jeff’s vehicle and the one that has around the globe setting records have a base of Squadron Black with Lightning Green accents, including two stripes that run from front to back.

The color also pays homage to Mate Rimac’s electric BMW 3 Series, the e-M3, which the FIA independently validated in 2012 as the world’s fastest-accelerating electric car at the time. The Nevera’s predecessor and the first record-breaker for Rimac.

The remaining eleven owners had a choice of raw carbon fibre or Squadron Black as the foundation, with a variety of accent colors, such as Rimac Racing Red and Stiniva E-Blue. The Vertex alloy wheels match each with a subdued color reflection. The Nevera Time Attack edition’s interior is finished with black Alcantara as a foundation, with accents and contrast stitching in the color of the selected exterior.

Each example has specially made “Time Attack” stitching on the seat backs and an engraved plaque that reads, “Time Attack: 1 of 12.”

In conclusion, the Rimac Nevera Time Attack edition stands as a testament to the relentless pursuit of excellence in the realm of electric hypercars. Its recent world record at the Nürburgring showcases its incredible capabilities, while its limited availability adds an air of exclusivity. With cutting-edge technology, mind-boggling performance figures, and a commitment to innovation, Rimac has undoubtedly set a new benchmark for electric supercars.
