        Powertrain

The Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L is equipped with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. This powertrain delivers a total system output of 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid powertrain provides an excellent balance between performance and fuel efficiency, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a greener and more economical driving experience. With more than 50% of CR-V sales now coming from hybrid-equipped trim levels, Honda recognizes the increasing demand for efficient SUVs.

A full hybrid (e:HEV) or, for the first time in the European market, a plug-in hybrid (e:PHEV) powertrain will be available for the CR-V. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder direct injection Atkinson-cycle petrol engine (with an output of 204 hp and 247 pound-feet of torque) is featured in both variations and has been updated to improve economy, refinement, and dynamic performance across the board.

        e:HEV

The award-winning e:HEV powertrain, first seen in the award-winning Civic hatchback, will be upgraded for the full hybrid CR-V. It can easily switch between EV, Hybrid, and Engine Drive thanks to a power-dense lithium-ion battery, two small, lightweight electric motors, and the gasoline engine, making it the perfect vehicle for all driving situations.

        e:PHEV

In order to deliver excellent acceleration, rapid charge times, and a very competitive all-electric only range, the e:PHEV uses the same small, high-output on-board electric motors as its e:HEV stablemate. A 17 kWh lithium-ion battery pack is added to the system.

The plug-in CR-V can complete the majority of everyday travels on electric drive alone thanks to its 82 km (51 miles) range in electric mode. In just 2.5 hours, a battery may be fully charged from empty when the temperature is 25 degrees (77° Fahrenheit).
