Fiat 600e – A tiny EV SUV by FIAT

The Fiat 600e has made a significant splash in the electric vehicle market with its groundbreaking design and advanced features. Unveiled at the World Meeting on Human Fraternity, this four-door B-segment vehicle represents Fiat’s commitment to sustainability and ecological responsibility. Built on the foundation of the European battery-electric Jeep Avenger, the 600e showcases the collaborative efforts within the Stellantis family, combining style, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology.

Distinct Design and Sustainability

The Fiat 600e inherits sleek and modern design elements from the Fiat 500e, while presenting them in a four-door configuration. The aesthetic appeal of the 600e is complemented by its advanced electric powertrain, offering a sustainable and environmentally friendly driving experience. With zero emissions and an efficient battery system, the 600e aligns with Fiat’s commitment to ecological responsibility, echoing the principles advocated in Pope Francis’ Encyclical “Laudato Sì”.

Electric or ICE

The electric version of the Fiat 600 will feature a powertrain similar to the Jeep Avenger EV, with a front motor producing 156 horsepower (CV) and a 54 kWh battery that will provide an estimated range of around 400 kilometers. The car is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 9 seconds, with a top speed of 150 km/h. On the other hand, the gasoline version will be available only in certain markets, such as Italy. It will be powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine generating 101 horsepower (CV) and 205 Nm of torque. The gasoline Fiat 600 is estimated to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 10 seconds, with a top speed of over 180 km/h. The average fuel consumption, according to WLTP standards, is expected to be around 5 liters per 100 kilometers.

Collaborative Innovation

The development of the Fiat 600e showcases the collaborative spirit within the Stellantis family. Leveraging the technological advancements and expertise of the Jeep brand, Fiat has created a vehicle that embodies the collective dedication of Stellantis brands to producing cutting-edge electric vehicles. This collaboration not only enhances the quality and performance of the 600e but also emphasizes the commitment of Stellantis brands to meet the demands of an evolving automotive landscape.

Cost-Effective and Sustainable

The Fiat 600e presents an attractive proposition in terms of running costs and sustainability. Private buyers can take advantage of the £3,000 ‘E-Grant’ offered by Fiat, significantly reducing the car’s purchase price. Additionally, the electric nature of the 600e results in substantial savings on fuel bills, especially when charging at home overnight. The vehicle also benefits from zero vehicle excise duty (road tax) until 2025, making it an affordable choice for both private and company car drivers. Furthermore, the comprehensive warranty provided by Fiat, including coverage for the battery for eight years or 100,000 miles, ensures peace of mind for owners.
