The 2024 Chevy Camaro Blacked Edition:

A Tribute to the Iconic Muscle Car

Chevrolet has unveiled details about the highly anticipated 2024 Chevy Camaro, which marks the end of the sixth-generation model. To commemorate this milestone, Chevy is offering a special Collector’s Edition package known as the “Blacked Edition.” We explore the features, pricing, and unique elements of the 2024 Chevy Camaro Blacked Edition, paying homage to the Camaro’s legacy and its Panther code name.

A Tribute to the Panther Code Name: The Panther code name holds historical significance for the Camaro, representing the early prototypes that paved the way for the introduction of the iconic muscle car in 1967. Embracing its roots, the 2024 Chevy Camaro Blacked Edition features Panther-inspired design elements and pays homage to the code name that kick-started the Camaro’s legacy.

Exterior Design: The Blacked Edition package enhances the Camaro’s menacing presence with an array of blacked-out features. Available in both coupe and convertible body styles, the Blacked Edition showcases Panther Black metallic paint, black stripes, and 20-inch black wheels. The front splitter from the 1LE performance package adds an aggressive touch, while the ZL1’s rear spoiler adorns the coupe variant.

Distinctive Badging and Accents: Chevrolet has paid attention to the smallest details to make the Blacked Edition truly special. The Camaro badges on the doors now incorporate Panther graphics, reminding enthusiasts of the car’s code name heritage. Inside the cabin, the steering wheel also features Panther graphics, creating a cohesive theme. The package includes unique floor mats and a welcome kit complete with two Camaro posters, adding an extra touch of exclusivity.

ZL1 Collector’s Edition: For those seeking the ultimate performance experience, the supercharged ZL1 model has its own exclusive Collector’s Edition. Limited to only 350 units, the ZL1 Collector’s Edition boasts Panther Matte Black paint and a serialized badge, indicating the production number within the limited run. Additionally, purchasing a ZL1 also includes a special Shinola watch designed to complement the car’s aesthetics.

Powertrain Options and Pricing: Chevrolet is discontinuing the Camaro’s turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four base engine for the 2024 model year. The available powertrain options include the 335-horsepower 3.6-liter V6, the 455-horsepower 6.2-liter V8, and the monstrous 650-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found in the ZL1. The pricing for the Blacked Edition package ranges from $4,995 to $5,995 for the standard models and $14,995 for the ZL1 Collector’s Edition.
