This large 22.7 kWh battery allows for significantly faster charging, including DC 50kW charging capability which can get you from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes. Home or standard public charging is also faster with a new 11 kW AC charger, cutting charge time to as little as three hours.

The plug-in hybrid uses a more powerful front motor (now 150 kW). With intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD-i), the plug-in hybrid version boasts a class-leading total power output of 304 DIN hp, resulting in a quick 0-100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds. Toyota is even introducing a front-wheel-drive (FWD) plug-in hybrid option for the first time, offering 268 DIN hp and making electrification more accessible.

The full hybrid models aren’t left out, benefiting from updated components for enhanced motor output and a more responsive feel. The full hybrid AWD-i delivers 191 DIN hp, while the FWD version offers 183 DIN hp. Notably, in Europe, the RAV4 will be available exclusively as a plug-in hybrid or a full hybrid, aligning with Toyota’s multi-pathway approach to carbon neutrality.

And if you need to haul gear, select all-wheel-drive models of the RAV4 can tow up to 3500 pounds.
