Get ready to see a familiar face with a bold new attitude. INFINITI is hitting the refresh button on their popular three-row SUV, the QX60, for the 2026 model year, and it’s bringing a striking new look, seriously smart tech, and even a brand-new SPORT grade to the lineup. INFINITI refers to this refreshed model as a continuation of their product renaissance. Crafted to make every journey, from your daily commute to that long-awaited family vacation, feel effortless, the 2026 QX60 aims to simplify and elevate everyday life.
Bold New Styling Inspired by Artistry in Motion
The design team has given the 2026 QX60 a significant visual update, drawing inspiration from the Artistry in Motion styling themes first seen on the 2025 QX80. The goal was to give the vehicle an increased sense of mass and presence, making it appear lower and wider.
Up front, you’ll notice a new grille that incorporates Artistry in Motion design themes and is inspired by the serene intersecting shapes of a bamboo forest. The INFINITI emblem is now three-dimensional and illuminated. The lower bumper has also been restyled, creating the illusion that the grille is floating. The daytime running lights (DRLs) have been segmented into smaller elements, echoing the digital piano key style used on the QX80.
These design themes flow down the sides, where all QX60 grades now feature a lower door finisher to give the vehicle a longer, more horizontal appearance. Around the back, the QX60 looks lower and wider, with cleaner surfaces on the liftgate and rear fascia. Body-color paintwork extends further down the bumper area, and chrome finishers and reflectors have been moved lower. If you opt for Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, you’ll spot a new “AWD” badge on the liftgate inspired by Japanese hanko stamps.
For added flair, the AUTOGRAPH grade introduces the new INFINITI Light Path feature. When the vehicle is unlocked in the dark, the INFINITI emblem illuminates, followed by the DRL elements lighting up from the center outwards. Finally, the INFINITI wordmark and wing-like geometric shapes are projected onto the ground beside the vehicle.
Color options are plentiful, with 10 choices available, including the new Deep Emerald paint, inspired by nature’s rich green hues. Other colors include Black Obsidian, Deep Bordeaux, Grand Blue, Graphite Shadow, Harbor Gray, Mineral Black, Moonbow Blue, Radiant White, and Warm Titanium. Select SPORT colors and all AUTOGRAPH colors can be paired with a two-tone look featuring a Black Obsidian roof and upper body.
Wheels get an update too, with 20-inch wheels now standard on the PURE grade, replacing the previous 18-inch ones. The 20-inch wheels on the AUTOGRAPH grade have a redesigned sculptural double-wing shape with a dark gray finish and machined surfaces. LUXE models feature new 20-inch wheels with a five-spoke design and added machined elements.
Introducing the First-Ever QX60 SPORT Grade
For those seeking a bolder, more dynamic look, the 2026 QX60 debuts its first-ever SPORT grade. This trim stands out with a uniquely designed front fascia featuring a strikingly sharpened grille mesh. The SPORT grade also wears unique, gloss black 20-inch wheels and dark exterior accents, such as a new lower front bumper protector. A unique “S” badge on the liftgate signifies its sporty demeanor.
Inside, the QX60 SPORT offers a more personal, tailored feel. It comes standard with second-row captain’s chairs, limiting seating capacity to six passengers. The interior boasts a Dusk Blue upholstery scheme with a combination of blue and black seating, and a black headliner. The SPORT grade builds on the high level of equipment found in the LUXE trim. It’s available in specific colors like Mineral Black, Grand Blue, Radiant White, or Graphite Shadow, with the latter two offering the contrasting Black Obsidian roof. The SPORT grade is exclusively equipped with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.
Seamlessly Integrated Technology for Effortless Journeys
The 2026 QX60 integrates several new technologies designed to make driving simpler and more convenient. A major highlight is the available ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on the AUTOGRAPH grade. This system allows attentive drivers to take their hands off the wheel in certain freeway driving scenarios on compatible freeways. The system can handle acceleration, steering, and braking, but the driver must remain attentive and ready to retake control. Note that this functionality requires consumer activation and a monthly subscription after a trial period, and it cannot prevent collisions.
Parking and maneuvering in tight spots are aided by the new 3D Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection, equipped on LUXE grade and higher. This system provides an all-encompassing vantage point by offering a more convenient way to spot obstacles compared to traditional views. The AUTOGRAPH Technology Package enhances this system with a “spin” functionality, allowing the driver to swipe and view the surroundings from different angles. It’s important to remember that this system cannot eliminate blind spots.
Further assisting visibility is the Front Wide View, part of the 3D Around View Monitor system. It provides a wide-angle view ahead and to the sides, helpful for seeing past obstacles or parked cars. The new Invisible Hood View uses camera footage and advanced image processing to project an image of what’s directly underneath the vehicle onto the in-car displays. This is incredibly useful for navigating curbs in drive-through lanes or car washes, or spotting other hard-to-see ground obstacles. Like the other camera systems, Front Wide View and Invisible Hood View cannot eliminate blind spots or warn of moving objects; the driver should always check their surroundings.
Staying connected and entertained is seamless with dual 12.3-inch displays standard on all grades. One serves as the reconfigurable instrument cluster, while the other is the infotainment touchscreen. The center display now includes Google built-in, integrating Google Maps for navigation and allowing the download of other favorite apps from Google Play. Google Assistant provides hands-free control for various functions using natural language requests. Note that Google built-in requires activation and a subscription after a trial period, and features vary by vehicle and subscription package. Using these features should only be done when safe and legal.
Audio enthusiasts will appreciate the new Klipsch® premium audio systems, a segment-first offering. LUXE and SPORT grades feature a 16-speaker system with a 12-channel amplifier and 600 watts of power, including four titanium dome tweeters and an 8-inch subwoofer. The AUTOGRAPH grade elevates the experience with a Klipsch Reference Premiere system boasting 20 speakers and a 24-channel amplifier. The AUTOGRAPH also includes the innovative Individual Audio technology, first seen on the QX80. This allows the driver to hear specific audio elements, such as navigation directions or phone calls, only from their seat, while passengers can continue listening to music.
Functional and Finely Crafted Interior Spaces
The three-row cabin of the 2026 QX60 is designed to blend craftsmanship with practical features. In the AUTOGRAPH grade, the semi-aniline leather seating features kimono-inspired ripple stitching and perforation, while the dashboard gains open pore wood with a laser-etched metal inlay. The interior design draws inspiration from the Japanese concept of Shibui, emphasizing the elegance of simplicity. PURE and LUXE grades now include TailorFit® seating, a material made from 65% recycled content that is noted for being durable and soft.
Seating comes standard with a second-row bench, accommodating up to seven passengers. As mentioned, the SPORT and AUTOGRAPH grades feature second-row captain’s chairs, reducing seating to six passengers. When it comes to cargo, the QX60 is versatile, offering 14.5 cubic feet with the third row upright, 41.6 cubic feet with the third row folded, and a spacious 75.4 cubic feet with both the second and third rows lowered.
Advanced and Responsive Powertrain
Under the hood, the 2026 QX60 features INFINITI’s advanced Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine. This engine was the world’s first production variable compression powertrain upon its debut. The 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine produces a healthy 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. It’s specifically tuned to deliver strong torque in the low-to-mid rpm range, providing responsive acceleration when you need it most. INFINITI engineers have updated the engine for 2026 based on client feedback, enhancing the sound quality during city driving and more spirited conditions.
The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, complete with standard paddle shifters. The transmission is tuned for quick, smooth shifts. Drivers can tailor the powertrain’s performance using multiple drive modes, including Standard, Sport, Eco, Tow, and Snow.
For those who need to haul, the QX60 boasts a best-in-class towing rating of 6,000 pounds when properly equipped. The AUTOGRAPH grade is further equipped for towing with a tow hitch, 7-pin connector, and Trailer Sway Control software.
The VC-Turbo’s ability to seamlessly vary its compression ratio allows for a strong balance of performance and fuel efficiency. While final EPA estimates are still to come, INFINITI’s internal testing targets 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models, and 22 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined for Intelligent All-Wheel Drive models.
The 2026 INFINITI QX60 is scheduled to arrive at retailers this summer. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
