The Revamped 2025 Škoda Enyaq

An Electrifying Evolution

The Škoda Enyaq, already a popular choice among European EV enthusiasts, is getting a significant makeover for 2025. With an updated design, enhanced tech, and improved range, the new Enyaq family aims to solidify its position as one of the continent’s top-selling electric vehicles.

Visually Striking, Aerodynamically Sound
The new Enyaq family embraces Škoda’s Modern Solid design language, characterized by clean lines, robust features, and a focus on functionality. The front fascia is dominated by a sleek Tech-Deck Face finished in glossy black, concealing an array of sensors for the vehicle’s advanced driver-assistance systems. Replacing the traditional Škoda logo on the bonnet is new lettering finished in Unique Dark Chrome, a detail echoed at the rear and on the front and rear apron inserts.

Further enhancing the visual appeal is the Light Band, a striking element positioned above the Tech-Deck Face that seamlessly integrates with the upper light units of the LED Matrix beam headlights. The headlights themselves feature a distinctive four-eyed look, a hallmark of Škoda’s SUV lineup, with two prominent LED units in the lower modules.

The new Enyaq isn’t just about looks; it also boasts impressive aerodynamics. The redesigned front end, optimized air curtains, and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels (ranging from 19 to 21 inches) contribute to a drag coefficient as low as 0.245 for the Enyaq and an even lower 0.225 for the Enyaq Coupé. This makes the Coupé the most aerodynamic model in Škoda’s current portfolio. These improvements translate into a significant increase in range, a key factor for EV buyers.

Powertrains and Range: Meeting the Demands of Modern Driving
The new Enyaq offers a range of powertrain options to cater to different driving styles and needs. Customers can choose from two battery sizes and three powertrain variants, delivering outputs from 150 kW to 210 kW.

      • The Enyaq 60 is equipped with a 63 kWh battery and a single electric motor powering the rear wheels, producing 150 kW (210hp) of power and 310 Nm of torque.
      • The Enyaq 85 features a larger 82 kWh battery and a more powerful 210 kW (281hp) electric motor driving the rear wheels, with a torque output of 545 Nm.
      • The top-of-the-range Enyaq 85x, also equipped with the 82 kWh battery, adds a second electric motor to the front axle, enabling all-wheel drive. This system intelligently adjusts power distribution to the front wheels, optimizing energy consumption and improving handling.

Importantly, all three powertrain options are available for both the SUV and Coupé body styles, as well as the sporty Sportline variants.

The improved aerodynamics and efficient powertrains contribute to an impressive range of over 590 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. This makes the Enyaq an excellent choice for long journeys, easing range anxiety for EV drivers.

      Charging: Faster and More Convenient
The new Enyaq models support fast charging at DC charging stations, further enhancing the overall ownership experience. The Enyaq 60 can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes, while the Enyaq 85 and 85x achieve the same charge in 28 minutes. This is possible thanks to charging rates of up to 165 kW for the Enyaq 60 and a maximum of 175 kW for the Enyaq 85 and 85x.

A Refined Interior with Sustainable Focus
The interior of the new Enyaq is spacious, offering ample legroom for passengers and generous cargo space. The design is timeless, with an emphasis on intuitive controls and ergonomic comfort. A 5-inch Digital Cockpit and a 13-inch central infotainment display come standard.

Škoda’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the interior materials used in the new Enyaq. The Lodge Design Selection, for example, features seat upholstery made from TechnoFil, a material containing 75% ECONYL® yarns derived from recycled sources such as discarded fishing nets and old carpets.

        Technology and Connectivity: Seamless Integration
The new Enyaq is packed with technology aimed at enhancing the driving and ownership experience. The redesigned MyŠkoda app offers a host of features, including:

        • Powerpass integration providing access to over 800,000 charging points across Europe
        • Lock & Unlock functionality for remote vehicle access
        • Predictive Maintenance that analyzes driving data to identify potential issues
        • Track & Explore allowing owners to follow the production status of their vehicle
        • Plug & Charge integration simplifying the charging process at public stations

The Enyaq also boasts new digital features for parking, including Remote Park Assist and Trained Parking, both accessible through the MyŠkoda app. These features allow the car to autonomously park in parallel and perpendicular spaces, or even remember and navigate to specific parking locations.

Safety and Assistance: A Comprehensive Package
Safety remains paramount in the new Enyaq. The vehicle comes standard with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, including:

          • Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert and Exit Warning
          • Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (pACC) with Traffic Sign Recognition
          • Traffic Jam Assist
          • Front Assist with Predictive Cyclist Protection, Predictive Pedestrian Protection, Collision Avoidance Assist, and Turn Assist
          • Lane Assist and Adaptive Lane Assist
          • Attention and Drowsiness Assist
          • Crew Protect Assist

The optional Travel Assist system now incorporates swarm data from Volkswagen Group vehicles, enhancing its effectiveness and adaptability in diverse driving situations.

The Verdict: A Compelling EV Proposition
With its modern design, impressive range, advanced technology, and commitment to sustainability, the new Škoda Enyaq presents a compelling proposition in the ever-growing EV market. Building on the success of its predecessor, the 2025 Enyaq is poised to attract an even wider audience of eco-conscious drivers seeking a stylish, practical, and technologically advanced electric vehicle.
