Kia EV5 electric crossover revealed for young families

Kia's EV5 is a new electric crossover that is designed for young families. It is a spacious 5-seater with a modern design. It is similar to the larger EV9, but is slightly smaller and more affordable.

Kia has unveiled its third dedicated electric crossover, the EV5, in China. The EV5 is a large 5-seat crossover with a bold and stylish design that is heavily inspired by the larger EV9. The model was presented as a concept recently, and with the exception of minor changes required for the transition from a concept model to a production model, the model has retained the design of the concept in a distinctive way.

The EV5 measures 4,615 mm long, 1,875 mm wide, and 1,715 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. This makes it slightly larger than the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro EV, but smaller than the EV6.

Kia designed the EV6 with young families in mind, focusing on spaciousness. The upright design, large windows, and panoramic sunroof create an airy and inviting cabin. The horizontal dashboard, low console, and large cargo space with a double floor make it easy for passengers to move around and store their belongings. The EV6 is a practical and family-friendly vehicle that offers a comfortable and spacious ride.

If you look at the door trim on the passenger side, you’ll notice that it has a number of features that can help the driver while they’re driving. These include controls for the side mirrors, rear door locks, and the driver’s window. The passenger seat cushion also extends and connects to the driver’s seat. This is not intended to be used as an occasional seat, but it does help to create a more connected and family-friendly feel in the cabin.

As with the Kia EV9, the EV6 features a pair of 12.3-inch screens, with a dedicated 5-inch screen in between for climate control. The climate control screen is also accessible via a physical interface.

Kia says that the EV6 has a rich ambient lighting system with 64 different colors. The color of the lighting can be adjusted to match the driving mode, and the brightness can be adjusted or turned off completely. When a safety system warns of a hazard, the ambient lighting will also change accordingly.

It remains to be seen if the EV5 will be sold in the North American and European markets.
