The Aehra Sedan: A Stylish and High-Performance Italian EV

The Aehra Sedan, showcased at the Milano Monza auto show, is the second offering from the Italian electric vehicle (EV) startup, Aehra. Building on their success with a battery-electric crossover, Aehra aims to captivate high-end EV buyers with the Sedan’s impressive performance figures, cutting-edge design, and an ambitious target of 497 miles per charge. In this article, we will delve into the features, specifications, and unique selling points of the Aehra Sedan, positioning it as a formidable competitor in the luxury EV market.

Design and Exterior

The Aehra Sedan boasts a bold and eye-catching design, characterized by its unique styling cues. The car features “billionaire doors” that retract skyward at each opening, providing an elegant and dramatic entry into the vehicle. The rear doors are hinged at the rear, further enhancing the Sedan’s overall aesthetic appeal. While details about the interior remain limited, the exterior design reflects Aehra’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of aerodynamics and modern aesthetics, evident in the sleek lines and muscular proportions of the Sedan.

Interior and Technology

Inside the Aehra Sedan, passengers can expect a luxurious and futuristic experience. The cabin accommodates four occupants and features premium yet sustainable upholstery. The Sedan incorporates racing-style bucket seats, providing both comfort and support during spirited drives. The minimalist dashboard showcases a full-width Human Machine Interface (HMI) screen augmented with advanced reality technology, delivering a seamless and immersive driving interface. The floating-type control panel offers intuitive climate control and real-time telemetry, while the yoke-style steering wheel adds a touch of sophistication to the driving experience. Safety is prioritized with the inclusion of multiple airbags and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Performance and Range

Aehra aims to set new standards for efficiency and range with the Sedan. The vehicle utilizes a tri-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, delivering an impressive 800 horsepower. Power is derived from a bespoke 120kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery pack developed by Austria’s Miba Battery Systems. With this setup, the Sedan promises an exceptional range of up to 800 kilometers (497 miles) on a single charge, which positions it as a strong contender in the EV market. The Sedan’s remarkable performance and extensive range make it a direct rival to established luxury EVs like the Porsche Taycan.
