Honda e:Ny1

Honda e:Ny1 is essentially a fully electric version of the European Honda HR-V

Honda has announced that its first fully electric SUV will be called the Honda e:Ny1 and will go on sale next year1. It is essentially a zero-emissions version of the Honda HR-V family SUV. The e:Ny1 is powered by a single front motor and delivers 201 hp (150 kW) and 228 lb-ft of torque (310 Nm) with a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery. It has up to 256 miles of range on a single charge. The car is designed to meet the growing customer demand for all-electric vehicles.

The all-new Honda e:Ny1 follows a rugged yet futuristic design philosophy seen on the China-specific e:NS1 e-SUV. It features a sculpted bonnet, a sleek closed-off grille, swept-back LED headlamps, a large air dam, chrome trims on the bumpers, ORVMs, flared wheel arches with black cladding, and designer alloy wheels. The e:Ny1 rides on some rather snazzy alloy wheels and features a roof-mounted spoiler and a full-width light-bar style for the LED taillights. Inside, the all-new Honda e:Ny1 sports a tech-focused cabin. Behind the steering wheel with the white Honda badge sits a 10.25-inch digital instrument display. The centre section of the dashboard sports a vertically aligned 15.1-inch touchscreen instrument cluster that features three distinct sections that control various aspects of the e:Ny1.

Honda has confirmed that the new electric SUV will go on sale in 2023 – The release date has been scheduled for 2023 in Europe, presumably as a 2024 model. If it reaches the U.S, it may only be sometime around 2024.
