Lincoln has unveiled its new mid-size SUV, the 2024 Nautilus, which features a hybrid powertrain option and a stunning 48-inch display that spans the entire dashboard. The Nautilus aims to attract new customers to the Lincoln brand with its stylish design, high-tech features and luxurious amenities.
Hybrid Power and Performance
The 2024 Nautilus offers two powertrain options: a standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive; and a new hybrid variant that combines the same turbo 2.0-liter with an electric motor and a battery pack, delivering a total system output of 310 horsepower and a continuously variable automatic transmission.
The hybrid Nautilus also boasts an estimated fuel economy of 34 mpg combined, according to Lincoln, making it one of the most efficient vehicles in its class. The hybrid system also enables a smooth and quiet ride, as well as an electric-only mode that can be activated by pressing a button on the center console.
A Display Like No Other
The most eye-catching feature of the 2024 Nautilus is the massive 48-inch display that extends across the width of the dashboard, operated by an 11.1-inch touchscreen below. The display is divided into two 24-inch screens, one for the driver and one for the passenger, that can be customized by dragging and dropping different widgets from the touchscreen.
The display can show various information such as navigation, media, phone, climate, vehicle settings and more. It can also switch to a “calm” mode that turns off the right side screen and shows a relaxing scenery on the left side screen. The display is designed to keep the driver focused on the road by placing important information higher in their sight line.
The display also integrates with a new feature called “Lincoln Rejuvenate”, which uses the screen, audio system, interior lighting, massage seats and an optional fragrance diffuser to create a relaxing and reenergizing experience for the driver. The driver can choose from three fragrances: “Coastal Breeze”, “Forest Escape” and “City Lights”.
Stylish Design and Luxury Amenities
The exterior of the 2024 Nautilus showcases a new face for Lincoln, with a larger grille, a light-up star logo, horizontal LED light strips that connect the headlights and taillights, and a blacked-out roof. The door handles are hidden in the window trim, giving the SUV a sleek look. The Nautilus also offers 21- or 22-inch wheels on the Reserve and Black Label trims, and 19- or 20-inch wheels on the Premier trim.
The interior of the Nautilus is equally impressive, with premium materials such as leather, wood and metal. The seats are comfortable and supportive, with heating, cooling and massage functions. The cabin also features ambient lighting that can change colors according to the driver’s mood or preference. The Nautilus also comes with a host of safety and convenience features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, park assist, head-up display and more.
The 2024 Nautilus also introduces Lincoln’s new hands-free driving system called “Lincoln Active Drive Assist”, which uses cameras and sensors to monitor the road and allow the driver to take their hands off the wheel on certain highways. The system requires the driver to keep their eyes on the road and be ready to take over at any time.
