The latest subcompact crossover from General Motors, the Cadillac XT4, is getting a refreshing update that is set to hit dealerships this summer. We can give you a sneak peek of what you can expect when it finally arrives in showrooms.
One of the most exciting changes is the updated interior, which takes inspiration from the Cadillac Lyriq. The old-school gauges and button-heavy design are gone, replaced with a stunning 33-inch diagonal display screen. The screen features a new digital instrument cluster and center infotainment system, boasting 9K resolution and a slight curve towards the driver for better visibility and control. There are also many tactile controls, including a shift stalk and a rotary dial near the stalk for added functionality.
There are plenty of customization options available for the 2024 XT4 interior, including new colors and different decor options like wood, carbon fiber, and aluminum. If you opt for the cold weather package, you’ll get heated seats and steering, while higher trim levels offer ventilated massaging seats. Plus, the big screen offers a customizable user interface with a range of Google-based features controlled through touch or voice commands. And with a 13-speaker AKG Studio stereo available, you’re sure to enjoy your favorite tunes on the go.
When it comes to safety, the XT4 comes with over a dozen standard-issue driver-assist and safety systems, including rear cross-traffic alert with braking, lane-keep assist, automatic high-beam light control, and lane-departure warning. If you go for the optional Active Safety Package, you’ll get even more features, like adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, pedestrian alerts, speed limit assist, traffic sign recognition, and more. Just keep in mind that this package is only available on higher-level XT4 trim levels.
Visually, the 2024 XT4 is very similar to older models, but there are a few differences. You’ll notice sharper, thinner LED running lights mounted vertically at the corners and a revised set of standard-issue LED headlights relocated to the corner vents. At the rear, the reflectors have been repositioned vertically, and there are new wheel options to choose from.
Under the hood, the XT4 features the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as before, which still delivers 235 horsepower through a nine-speed automatic. The 2024 Cadillac XT4 is available in base-model Luxury, mid-level Premium Luxury, or range-topping Sport. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but for comparison, the 2023 XT4 Luxury starts at $37,490, including destination charges.
We hope this sneak peek of the updated Cadillac XT4 has left you excited for its arrival this summer!
